Delhi Metro starts bike taxis for women. Check out the details

The Delhi Metro has introduced a bike taxi booking feature on its official mobile app, DMRC Momentum (Delhi Sarthi 2.0), which includes a women-only service.

Launched by DMRC Managing Director Dr Vikas Kumar, the new service offers two distinct bike taxi options: SHERYDS, a women-only service, and RYDR, available to all commuters.

According to DMRC officials, these services are currently available from 12 metro stations across Delhi — Dwarka Sec-21, Dwarka Sec-10, Dwarka Sec-14, Dwarka Mor, Janakpuri West, Uttam Nagar East, Rajouri Garden, Subhash Nagar, Kirti Nagar, Karol Bagh, Millennium City Centre Gurugram and Palam.

“Subsequently over 100 stations will be covered with this facility in a month and the remaining stations will be covered in the next three months, thus, further strengthening last-mile connectivity across all 250 Metro stations of DMRC and taking the total count of SHERYDS and RYDER to around 1,000 each,” said DMRC Principal Executive Director Corporate Communications, Anuj Dayal.
