A day after a labourer was found dead for allegedly objecting to urination in the open, the Delhi Police said on Sunday they arrested three people in the case. The body was found near a nursing home in Harsh Vihar area of north-east Delhi on Friday morning. The men, identified as Raza, Sebu and Mukeem, had assaulted Sandeep with sticks and later clobbered his face with stones after he raised an objection.
The police had arrested the three men from Harsh Vihar area after they made local inquiries in the case. The police have said that the murder was a result of a minor quarrel which snowballed into a murder.
“Sandeep was sitting outside when one of the accused had a spat with him. Sandeep and the accused persons later started to get into a abusive conversation and threatened to kill each other,” said a police officer. The accused persons eventually tried to resolve the fight with Sandeep and lured him outside his house on the pretext of making amends and killed him, police added.
