Water supply in parts of West, South and East Delhi will be affected for a few days starting Saturday, owing to works being undertaken by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).
Some parts of Vikaspuri, Dwarka, Uttam Nagar, Vikas Nagar, Najafgarh, Paschim Vihar, Nangloi and Mundka, among others, will not receive water, the DJB said in a statement on Friday.
According to the DJB, these areas will not receive water supply “due to interconnection of raw water pumping station at Nangloi Waste Treatment Plant with the Munak CLC (carrier lined canal) in Bawana”.
Moreover, water supply will be affected in Ashok Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Hari Nagar and Subhash Nagar because of repair work being undertaken in the Subhash Nagar underground reservoir.
Parts of South Delhi, including Vasant Kunj, Okhla, Aya Nagar, Munirka and Sarita Vihar, will get water supply at low pressure on Monday because of the annual flushing programme of the underground reservoir and pumping station.
Areas such as R K Puram, Kasturba Nagar, Mayur Vihar and Zafarabad will also receive water supply at low pressure on Tuesday.
