“The woman had gone to the washroom at around 10 pm. The guard who was stationed nearby also went in. He then pulled her into a cubicle and touched her inappropriately. The woman managed to free herself and raised an alarm. Those outside the washroom rushed in and held on to the guard till the police came,” a police officer said.

The guard, identified as Amod Kumar Choudhary, a resident of Mandawali Railway Colony, was arrested under section 354 (assault or criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 342 (wrongful confinement) of the Indian Penal Code. The complainant’s statement was taken down.

RML authorities issued a statement on Thursday saying, “Security guard deployed through our source agency, Amod Kumar Choudhary, went into the toilet and misbehaved with the lady as per statement… He has been terminated from his duty with immediate effect. He is under police custody.”
