“The victim along with 70 others, came to the amusement park for a tour organised by the NGO. Her body was found in a pool of water in one of the water rides at 1 pm. No external injury marks were found on the body,” said a senior police officer.
According to police, preliminary investigation revealed that the pool where Savita’s body was found had about 1.5 feet of water. Hence, drowning as the cause of death was unlikely. “However, it was learnt that she suffered from fits and could have lost consciousness while rushing down the ride and choking,” said the officer.
