Since its introduction in 2006, the Gen-Next show has emerged as a successful launch pad for some of the fashion industry’s biggest names, including Rahul Mishra, Nachiket Barve, Aneeth Arora and Masaba. Now, applications have been thrown open for the next generation of designers, who will showcase at Lakme Fashion Week’s Summer/Resort ’15 edition in March next year. The bi-annual fashion event always begins with the Gen-Next show, where five to six designers showcase their creations to packed houses.

Saket Dhankar, head of fashion, IMG Reliance, believes that the standard of designers coming out of the initiative has risen over the years. “Next year, we’re celebrating 10 years of Gen-Next. We hope to discover more talent, which will redefine the future of Indian fashion.”

The application details for the category are available on lakmefashionweek.co.in, and the last date for entries is November 10.
