Rs 10 lakh robbed at gunpoint in NE Delhi
Unidentified assailants robbed two people of Rs 10 lakh in cash at gunpoint on Saturday evening. According to the police,Bal Mukund and Dharmender,who work in a copper wire manufacturing unit,were on their way to Seemapuri from Dilshad Garden on their scooter when the incident occurred in the Jhilmil area of Northeast Delhi. They had gone to deliver Rs 10 lakh to a party. Near Jhilmil,the armed accused stopped them and threatened to hand over the money, said an officer. As the two said the money was in the dickey,the accused left their motorcycle at the spot and fled with the scooter. A case has been registered and investigations are on.
Man dies in accident
A 45-year-old man died in a road accident on Ring Road on Sunday morning. The police said Satbir Singh,believed to be the brother of Praveen Kumar,who played the role of Bhim in Mahabharat,was going on a scooter when he was hit by an unknown vehicle around 7.30 am. Satbir lived in Shalimar Bagh area of West Delhi and is survived by a son. A case has been registered.
Trader shot at
A trader was shot at by unidentified assailants in Aman Vihar area of Northwest Delhi on Saturday. Dharamveer was going with Dilbagh Singh in a car when few men carrying weapons stopped the car and allegedly attacked them. When the duo tried to resist,Dharamveer was shot at, a police officer said. He was rushed to the Sajnay Gandhi Hospital from where he was shifted to the Safdarjung Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. The police are suspecting personal enmity as the reason behind the incident; an attempt to kidnap the traders has not been ruled out. A case has been registered at the Aman Vihar police station and investigations are on.
