An unidentified man was crushed to death while another person suffered serious injuries by a Blueline in Sabzi Mandi area of Northwest Delhi on Sunday.

An unidentified man was crushed to death while another person suffered serious injuries by a Blueline in Sabzi Mandi area of Northwest Delhi on Sunday. Police said two persons were quarrelling near the Barfkhana bus stand when they were hit by a Blueline bus plying on route number 144 (Fatehpuri to Sindhu Border). Police said the victims could not be identified and they have arrested the driver,Mahender.

Man missing for two days found dead in West Delhi
Locals of Tilak Vihar area of West Delhi staged a protest against the police after a man,who was missing for the past two days,was found dead. Sohan Singh,alias Sonu,a drug addict,was missing from his residence for the last two days and his body was found near the residence of his friend on Sunday. “We suspect that he could have died of a drug overdose as there were no external injury marks on his body. We have sent his body for postmortem and are awaiting his medical reports before taking any further action,” said the police. Police have detained two of his friends and are questioning them. No case has been registered in this regard so far.

Man shot at by wife’s family members
A man has been injured after being shot at allegedly by his wife’s family members,who were not happy with their marriage,police said on Sunday. Bheeshan Sejwal (28) of Lado Sarai in South Delhi,was first assaulted by his wife Jyoti’s family last night and then shot at,the police said. He has been admitted into the AIIMS trauma centre. The police,however,suspect the could be the fallout of business rivalry.

CISF sub-inspector injured
A sub-inspector deputed with the Central Industrial Security Forces,CISF,suffered injuries in his leg after a speeding car hit him outside terminal IB at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Sunday morning. Police said a call informing them that a taxi had hit a CISF man was flashed on the wireless around 2 am. The police,however,did not comment on the incident and refused to divulge any information.
