Wrestling tourney from 7th
On the occasion of 74th birth anniversary of Late Padma Shri Chandgiram,the Chandgiram Vyayamshala Samiti is organising the 2nd All India Chandgi Ram Gold Cup Wrestling Tournament at Khashaba Jadhav Wrestling Stadium,Indira Gandhi Sports Complex,New Delhi on 7 th November 2011 from 10.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m.
DPS Mathura Road win
In the Coca-Cola U-16 Inter-School cricket tournaments Delhi matches,Delhi Public School,Mathura Road beat GD Salwan Public School,Rajinder Nagar by 10 wickets. GD Salwan batted first but could not post a challenging total and the entire team folded for 54 runs. Disciplined bowling spells from Kartavya (2/11),Monil (3/7) and Ashmit 3/9 helped Delhi Public School in restricting them and then their batsmen helped reach the target without losing any wicket.
In the other game between Ryan International School Vasant Kunj against Vidya Jain Public School,Rohini was a high scoring game with Ryan International batting first and scoring 141 for the loss of 7 wickets. Parth Madan (69) and Akshay Solanki (51) were the leading run scorers for Ryan while Siddharth Dhawan took (5/23) for Vidya Jain,who came back to chase down the score easily and won the game by 7 wickets,scoring 146.
Gulia takes four wickets
Superb bowling by Ajay Gulia 4/06 and a fine knock by Ekansh Dobal (30) in a low-scoring match helped Sonnet Club beat SB Youth by eight wickets in the Bal Bhawan Under-14 cricket tournament at Bal Bhawan ground.

Abhishek Jindal tourney starts
First Abhishek Jindal Memorial under-16 cricket tournament will be held from Thursday at the Bharat Nagar ground. The inauguration match will be played between Surender Khanna Academy and LB Shastri Club. According to Anil Bhardwaj,Chairman DDCA under-14 selection,top eight teams will be participating in the tournament and each group will contain of four teams. Top two teams will qualify for the semifinal in each group. Final will be played day-night at the Bharat Nagar ground on 13th November and all the matches till the semifinal will be of 40 overs each side and final will be 45 overs.
Khatri scalps four
A fine half-century knock by Rishabh (75) and Sivkant (61) helped Ravindra Cricket Academy beat to GBSS school by a massive 140 runs in the John Victor Under-14 cricket tournament. Contributions with the ball from Abhijeet (4/20) who helped limit GBSS School to 71 runs proved to be the clinching difference between the two teams.
