Pollution-check drive to begin June 11
New Delhi: Polluting vehicles will be challaned and even impounded during a pollution control drive to be carried by the Transport department from June 11 to 18,officials said. Transport Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely said the drive aimed to reduce vehicular pollution in the city. A special pollution control campaign will be held every month to check vehicular pollution, said Lovely. For the drive,30 enforcement mobile teams have been constituted and deputed at all major intersections,Lovely said. These mobile pollution control vehicles will also examine vehicles CNG/LPG kits and related documents.
