A five wicket haul by right arm medium pacer Vineet Dahiya (7-0-35-5) and a half century by opener Sukhnam 67 (2x6s,6x4s,81 balls) enabled Malik Sports beat Kanwal Sports Club (J&K) by two wickets to enter the q-final of the 23rd All-India Om Nath Sood Memorial cricket tournament for Sperry Trophy being played at Ashok Vihar grounds. Aquib Nazir’s half century (57) went in vain for Kanwal Sports Club.

Brief score: Kanwal Sports Club (J&K) 168 for 10 in 40 overs (Aaqib Nazir 57,Obaid Haroon 22,Waseem Raja 20*,Vineet Dahiya 5/35,Sultan Ansari 2/31) lost to Malik Sports 171 for 8 in 39.3 overs (Sukhnam 67,Joginder Singh 37,Aaqib Nazir 3/36,Wasim Raza 2/32).

Vidya Jain Club into semis

Joginder Singh’s 98,all-round performance by Shiv Luve (36 & 3/29) and three wicket haul by Sultan Ansari 3/22 helped Vidya Jain Academy beat Rudram Sports by 90 runs to enter the semifinal of the 3 rd SP Wadhawan memorial tournament at D. Force ground.
