"For a few days now it will function from this school, and then the new school, which is being built in an area of 5 acres, will be moved to that new building. That is how the AAP government functions, we give people more than what we promise," he said.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal broke down while inaugurating the School of Specialised Excellence in Bawana on Wednesday, saying that the school was planned by former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
“Today, I deeply miss Manish Sisodia. This dream we are chasing was his, and we will leave no stone unturned to make it a reality. Sisodia worked tirelessly to uplift the schools in Delhi,” he said. Sisodia was arrested by the CBI and the ED in relation to the Delhi Excise Policy cases.
Calling the allegations against him fabricated, Kejriwal said that the BJP government could not accept the “success of the Delhi government”.
The school in Bawana has 50 high-tech classrooms, eight labs, two libraries and an air-conditioned multi-purpose hall.
“Whenever I visited Bawana previously and interacted with residents, they would say that the girls’ school in the area has been in a bad condition… and would ask me to get it fixed. Today this promise will be completed. Not just this but a double promise made to the people will be fulfilled. You are not getting one school, but are getting two schools instead. One of them is the Ambedkar School of Specialised Excellence (ASoSE),” Kejriwal said announcing that a second school here, which was earlier the girls’ school, will be getting a new building.
