Police said they are waiting for the autopsy report, but prima facie it appears that the victim was strangulated to death.
Babri police station SHO KK Sharma said that during questioning, it came to light that Papreja was a financer while the accused persons were property dealers. Papreja used to finance their clients against their properties. The accused have yet to reveal the exact motive behind the killing, but they claimed that they had called Papreja to Dwarka area in Delhi on Monday, where they had an argument with him over money. During the quarrel, they overpowered him and allegedly strangulated him to death inside the car, Sharma said.
