Four days after two brothers were shot dead by four assailants in a Skoda car in Outer Delhi’s Sultanpur Dabas area, one of the accused — Deepak (19) alias Kathia — was arrested by the Special Staff of Outer district on Monday morning. This is the first arrest in the case.

On Friday, Sahab Singh and Kaptan Singh were shot dead by the assailants over a parking-related issue. According to police, Sahab Singh was parking his tempo outside his house, when the accused were passing by in their car.

The accused reportedly kept honking at Sahab Singh, asking him to move his vehicle since they couldn’t pass. When Sahab Singh tried reversing his tempo, the vehicle accidentally brushed the Skoda.

The assailants stepped out and opened fire. Hearing his screams, his brother Kaptan Singh came rushing out. However, he too was shot dead.

Residents who had gathered at the spot and witnessed the incident, identified one of the accused as Rahul Dabas, who is a resident of Sultanpur Dabas and has several criminal cases registered against him.
