The Delhi Police on Monday registered a case in the bogus voting incident reported from Fatehpur Beri in Chhatarpur in the South Delhi constituency,against all 38 persons whose votes were found duplicated.
A case has been registered under IPC sections 424 for dishonest or fraudulent removal or concealment of property; 468 for forgery for purpose of cheating; 471 for using as genuine a forged document or electronic accord; and 171 under Representation of People Act.
Repolling had to be organised at two booths on Sunday,after Election Commission officials found that 98 per cent polling had taken place in one of the booths on Thursday.

Fatehpur Beri. Election Commission officials said the polling booths together had 1,600 voters enlisted with them; booth no. 64 was for voters from 1 to 720,while 64 (A) was from 721 to 1,600.
The Election Commission became suspicious when it found that 704 votes had been polled at booth no. 64. On checking it was found that at least 38 persons had cast their vote up to three times.
