Body of missing girl found in bushes in Ghaziabad

The body of a four-year-old girl has been recovered from bushes in Ghaziabad, officials said on Sunday. The girl was reportedly missing since Saturday afternoon.

“Around 11.30 am, the girl’s body was found… The girl has been identified by the family members. The body has been sent for a post-mortem. A team of FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) and Dog Squad was called to the spot. Four teams have been constituted to unveil the incident,” said Ghaziabad DCP (Trans-Hindon) Deeksha Sharma.

Police said the girl was from Ghazipur and was living with her aunt in Ghaziabad. “Her body was found around 3 km from her residence. As per the information we have received so far, her father recently died in January. Her mother is mentally challenged and has been missing for around six months. Because of such circumstances, she had to live with her aunt,” said the official.
