Giving infighting and differences a break, senior party leaders such as Arti Mehra and Dr Harsh Vardhan, who had been maintaining distance from Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel, shared the dais with him.
Mehra and Harsh Vardhan were among the leaders who had met former national president Nitin Gadkari a few days ago to air their grievances about Goels style of functioning.
Last week, seven senior leaders of the party Arti Mehra,Pravesh Verma,Vijay Jolly,Dr Harsh Vardhan,Vijay Goel,V K Malhotra and Vijendra Gupta had met Gadkari, who has been appointed the partys poll in-charge ahead of Delhi Assembly elections.
Warning the leaders that infighting could hurt the partys chances in the upcoming polls,Gadkari had called upon the leaders to work in coordination.
Gadkari had assured the senior leaders that things will be different and everyone will be heard.
It is because of our faith in Gadkariji that we came together. He assured us that each senior leaders grievances will be addressed and party leaders should not lose trust in the leadership. Trusting him,we went for the protest, former mayor Arti Mehra said.
On Wednesday, the All India Ex-servicemen Cell of the BJP celebrated Shaurya Divas at Kranti Chowk,Sadar Bazar and Delhi Cantonment to honour soldiers and their families.
Nitin Gadkari was the chief guest on this occasion.
While addressing the gathering,Gadkari said the fact that Pakistan bore an ill-will against India has come out in the open.
The issue of Chinese intrusion is no less serious. It is a matter of great sorrow that despite all these issues, our Congress-led Central government, its representatives and policymakers are still singing songs of mutual cooperation and peace while the enemy continues to bully our country. Such an incapable government is adversely affecting the moral of the Army, which is fatal for the whole country, he said.
