The Delhi BJP will launch a door-to-door campaign from Thursday,on the lines of the AAP campaign.
Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel will launch the four-day campaign from a polling booth in Chandni Chowk, his Assembly constituency.
A senior party leader said apart from Goel, senior leaders including Leader of Opposition in the Assembly V K Malhotra,Dr Harsh Vardhan and former Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta will, among others,be going door to door to bolster the partys campaign in the run-up to the polls.
We have formed 11,763 teams for the 70 Assembly constituencies, who will visit houses accompanied by a senior party leader and workers… This will lend momentum to our election preparations, Goel said.
He said three-member groups from these teams will connect with voters through personal-contact programmes. The three-member teams will be led by a senior party member and assisted by two others. Each team will visit 20 houses, meet members of families, seek feedback and share with them the partys vision on Delhi, Goel said.
The BJP will focus on positive campaigning, offering solutions to problems faced by people because of Congress 15-year misrule in Delhi. The BJP will also share with people its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modis vision for nation-building, he said.
The AAP,making its electoral debut in the Delhi Assembly elections, has undertaken a massive door-to-door campaign to connect with voters. Like the AAP,the BJP is also planning to seek feedback from voters.
