The Haryana government Monday transferred Joint Commissioner of Police Bharti Arora out of Gurgaon and posted her as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Welfare & Training) at Police Headquarters, Panchkula.
Arora was transferred in a late evening reshuffle. Sulochana Kumari, a 2010 batch IPS officer has been posted as JCP, Gurgaon.
A fortnight ago, Arora had levelled serious allegations of harassment, mental torture and interference in a high profile rape case against police commissioner Navdeep Virk.
After the spat between the Gurgaon CP and JCP hit headlines, the state government ordered a probe.
The director general (DG) of police (Crime) was asked to inquire into the allegations and submit a report.
The DG submitted a report to Haryana Director General of Police YP Singal Friday evening. Three days later, Arora has been moved out of Gurgaon, while Virk continues as commissioner.
Other police officers who were transferred include Y Puran Kumar who has been posted as deputy inspector general (DIG) (law and order) at Headquarters in Panchkula against a vacant post.
Another IPS officer Hemant Kalson was also posted as DIG (state vigilance bureau) against a vacant post.
Another IPS officer Rakesh Kumar Arya, presently posted as SP (Railways), has been given additional charge of SP (Telecom).
IPS officer Ram Kumar has been posted as Commandant, 3rd battalion, Haryana Armed Police, at Hisar.
