Barely days after the squabble over the appointment of the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, complaining against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s alleged intervention in the functioning of the Delhi government.

The CM has complained about the transfer of two of his “best officials” outside Delhi.

“Without consulting elected govt, Modi govt transfers 2 of our best officers out of Del- VAT commissioner and Director Education. Sends 1 of them to Lakshadweep. Ab to hadd hi ho gayee. Is this cooperative federalism,” tweeted the CM on Wednesday.

In his four-page communication to the Union home minister, the CM alleged that the PM, after losing the Delhi assembly elections, is trying to interfere with the Delhi government through the Union home ministry. The CM, in his letter, has asked the Centre as to why Principal Secretary, Power, Shakuntala D Gamlin was not transferred out of Delhi.

Kejriwal also praised former education director Padmini Singla and former VAT commissioner Vijay Kumar for their hard work and creative thinking to make their departments outstanding among others.
