Four get life term for womans murder
New Delhi: A Delhi court has sentenced four men to life for murdering a woman after committing robbery at her house,relying on the testimony of her six-year-old daughter whom the convicts had also tried to kill. Additional Sessions Judge Kamini Lau convicted Shambhu,Dharmender,Aditya alias Babloo and Babu Hassan for the murder of Garima,wife of Naveen Kumar,a junior engineer in CPWD in 2008.
Bus rams into temple,woman,2 kids injured
New Delhi: A chartered bus barged into a temple in Mahendra Park,Rani Bagh,injuring three persons,including two children. The incident happened around 10 pm,when a Jagran was on at the temple. A chartered bus hit two scooters and rammed into a tent where the Jagran taking place,leaving a woman and two children injured. They were taken to the hospital and discharged after first-aid. The bus driver was arrested,the police said.
Loot at finance firm: Sketches released
Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad police have issued sketches of three persons suspected to be behind the robbery at a finance firm in Sahibabad on Saturday. The police made the sketches on the basis of information given to them by employees held hostages by the robbers. A police officer said they have detained three persons,former employees of Muthoot Finance and put some others on surveillance. While the bank manager claimed cash worth Rs 6 lakh and gold worth Rs 1 crore were looted,the police have not confirmed this. According to us,they are worth at least Rs 50 lakh, said SSP Raghubir Lal.
