Another bureaucratic reshuffle, key postings expected in Delhi soon

Among the IPS officers, 1995-batch AGMUT cadre officer Madhup Tiwari was transferred to Chandigarh and 1997-batch officer Surender Singh Yadav to Andaman and Nicobar Islands as Director Generals of Police, respectively.

In another bureaucratic reshuffle effected by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers were transferred out and a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and IPS officer, each, were posted in the capital on Friday.

Sources said the move paved the way for changes at the helm of significant bodies such as the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), and multiple Delhi government departments over the coming days.

“Several senior IAS officers are scheduled to be empanelled at the Centre, making them eligible for postings in the Government of India, which will have a ripple effect on postings in the Delhi government and other bodies currently helmed by IAS officers whose tenure is coming to an end,” a source said.
