The Akal Takht has summoned Paramjit Singh Sarna,former president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC),on June 17 over his blasphemous act of moving court against construction of the November 1984 memorial.
The personal assistant of Akal Takht chief Giani Gurbachan Singh called up Sarna on Friday,asking him to appear before the Akal Takht. But Sarna asked Singhs PA to send him written summons. I was surprised that I was being summoned to appear before Akal Takht via a phone call, Sarna said.
Identifying himself as PA of Akal Takht chief,the man said according to Jathedar Sahibs order,I had been directed to appear before the Akal Takht. I asked him if there was a new system of issuing orders through phone calls. To this,he said a letter was being sent to me. I called back to tell him that I would not be able to appear on June 17 due to other commitments and requested for some other date. The person told me to give my request in writing. In turn,I told him that I can make a written request only if get some order in writing from the Akal Takht, Sarna said.
Giani Gurbachan Singh said his PA had called up Sarna without his knowledge. My PA told me about it after he had made the call, Singh said. He said a letter had been sent to Sarna on Friday asking him to appear before the Akal Takht on June 17.

The Akal Takht had earlier stated that they would take a decision on June 17 on a date to summon Sarna.
