PAC constable held for raping woman inside banquet hall in Agra: Police
The accused, Yogesh Kumar, also allegedly filmed the woman and threatened to leak the video on the internet, they added.
The area police station in-charge said that the accused has been arrested under sections 376 (rape), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 352 (punishment for assault) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the IT Act.

Agra Police on Saturday arrested a PAC constable for allegedly raping a woman inside a banquet hall in the district, said police. The accused, Yogesh Kumar, also allegedly filmed the woman and threatened to leak the video on the internet, they added.
Kumar is posted in Kanpur and had recently come home to Agra, said police.

“On November 17, a woman filed a complaint…that on the evening of November 16 she was raped by a man named Yogesh. The police took immediate action and registered an FIR. The accused has been arrested and sent to jail and further action is being taken,” said Rajeev Sirohi, ACP Achhnera.
Sirohi said the woman has also alleged that the accused had made a obscene video of her and threatened to share it on social media. However, the police are yet to verify the same, he added.
The woman said that she met Kumar on her way back from work, adding he asked her to accompany her to the banquet hall on some pretext, said police. Police said she further alleged that Kumar forcibly took her to a room and raped her while the caretaker of the hall stood outside. Officials said if the caretaker’s involvement is found in the matter, action will be taken against him.

An FIR under IPC sections 376 (rape), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) has been registered in the case.
