The Delhi Police has stepped up security across the capital following the terror attack in Paris. Police have tightened security around the French Embassy in view of the heightened threat perception and minor protests outside it on Thursday. Police also conducted an anti-sabotage check using dog squads in the inner, middle and outer circles of Connaught Place on Wednesday night. Police said they have on a war footing installed 1,500 CCTV cameras along all sensitive routes and points in the city. Police have also stepped up armed deployment at strategic and high security areas. As a measure of precaution, police have kept several forces on standby and vigil has been tightened.
