Six persons,including a five-year-old boy and an ex-serviceman,were killed in five separate road accidents across the city on Friday.
The first incident was reported in Northeast Delhis Shastri Park area on Friday afternoon. A 28-year-old man was killed after his motorbike allegedly rammed into a Delhi Police bus. Ranjeet Mishra,a resident of Bhajanpura area,died on the spot. Mishras brother Neeraj,who was riding pillion,escaped with injuries .
Police said passersby told them that the motorcycle was speeding and rammed the bus from the rear when its driver suddenly applied the brakes. The bus driver,constable Ram Niwas,was arrested.
The second incident was reported early Friday from Outer Delhis Kanjhawala area. An ex-serviceman was killed after his motorcycle was hit by a vehicle.
In the third incident,a five-year-old boy was run over by a speeding tractor in Harsh Vihar in Northeast Delhi on Friday afternoon,police said. Gautam was on a bicycle along with his father Joginder Kumar. He was rushed to GTB Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The tractor driver was arrested.
The fourth incident was reported from Northeast Delhis Shastri Park. A 30-year-old rickshaw puller,Mohammed Arif,was killed after being hit by a speeding vehicle.
In the fifth incident,two persons were killed when a speeding truck hit their motorcycle in Outer Delhis Alipur area. Uma Shankar and his friend Purushottam were on their way to Narela from Libaspur .
