ROBOT WORLD EXPO
A robot is a machine resembling a human being and able to replicate certain human movements and functions automatically. The Robot and Automation World Expo,beginning today at Pragati Maidan,is aimed at being a shot in the arm for the robotics industry. Though primarily aimed at prospective buyers and suppliers,you could drop in and have a look.
REMEMBERING RAFI
His soulful melodies left an indelible mark and are still sung by people around the world. An event commemorating his death will be held at the Kamani Auditorium on Saturday. Adapted from the story by F Scott Fitzgerald,The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is the story of the eponymous character aging backwards,leading to bizarre circumstances. Starring Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt,the film that won three Oscars,will be screened at 6 pm at the American Center this Friday.

On Sunday,the Embassy of Ireland and Shaws Corner perform George Bernard Shaws 1897 play The Man of Destiny. Set in 1796,during Napoleon Bonapartes military campaign in Italy,it pits the ambitious 27-year old general against a lady whos bent on outwitting him of important papers. This promising play will be staged at 7pm at the India Habitat Centre.
