“The police had received information that an incident of rape and assault had taken place at a homestay. Taking cognizance of the incident, a case has been registered on the basis of a complaint filed by the woman. Five persons involved in the incident have been arrested,” said ACP (Sadar) Archana Singh.
Five employees, including a woman, of a homestay were arrested by the Agra Police on Sunday for allegedly gangraping and forcing a 30-year-old woman into prostitution.
The police said that they took action after a video appeared on the social media where a woman could be seen crying and seeking help while alleging that she was gangraped by a colleague.

Taking cognizance of the incident, a case has been registered on the basis of a complaint filed by the woman. Five persons involved in the incident have been arrested,” said ACP (Sadar) Archana Singh.
A senior police officer said that the men who have been arrested have been identified as Ravi Rathore, Manish, Jitender, Dev Kishore and Riya.
