Three people were arrested and four women were rescued from a unisex salon in Southwest Delhi’s Vasant Kunj for alleged human trafficking, police said Monday.
The three arrested include two brokers and a woman handler who worked as the manager of the salon. The accused used to run illegal activities at the salon in Mahipalpur, said Surendra Chowdhary, DCP (Southwest).
“One of the officers of the team, Head Constable Pradeep, was deployed as a decoy customer. On his instance, three people, including two brokers and one lady manager of the salon, who were involved in the trafficking were arrested and four girls were rescued,” a senior officer said.
Earlier on March 27, a 36-year-old man was arrested from near his residence in Southwest Delhi for allegedly operating an alleged prostitution racket from a Vasant Kunj apartment. The man used to allegedly lure women from different states after sending them fake job offer letters.
