A 25-year-old man was found dead on Basai Road, Gurgaon, on Monday — his birthday. According to police, Aman, a resident of Gandhi Nagar who worked at a grocery shop, had gone missing on August 24 evening. Family members had lodged a complaint at City Police Station, Gurgaon, and a case of kidnapping was registered.
“We got a call from a passerby at 11 am that a body was lying on Basai Road. The body had stab marks on the chest and stomach,” a police officer said.
After the post-mortem examination, the body was handed over to family members. But the family members, along with others from the neighbourhood, took the body to Pataudi Road and protested.
“According to preliminary investigation, the man had an affair with a woman. Family members have alleged Aman had been murdered because of personal rivalry,” Satbir Singh, SHO, City Police Station, said. Two people have been arrested, police said.
