19-yr-old who was allegedly gangraped to record statement before magistrate

The 19-year-old woman from Nepal,who was allegedly abducted,drugged and gangraped by three men on Wednesday night,will give her statement before a magistrate on Saturday.

The 19-year-old woman from Nepal,who was allegedly abducted,drugged and gangraped by three men on Wednesday night,will give her statement before a magistrate on Saturday.

According to police,the woman was abducted in a car from the Outer Ring Road near Chirag Dilli on Wednesday night,sedated and raped by three men who took her to Gurgaon and later dumped her. Police said an auto-rickshaw dropped her outside the Nanakpura gurdwara in South Delhi on Thursday morning.

Passersby found her in a semi-nude state near the gurdwara and informed police who rushed her to the Safdarjung hospital.

On Friday afternoon,the woman was discharged from hospital. Doctors handed over the medical report of the woman to police.

A police team had taken the statement of the woman while she was admitted to hospital. “The woman is in a state of trauma since the incident. We want her to spend some time with her family members .On Saturday,once she gives her final statement in front of the magistrate,we will start investigations. The statement will be recorded under Section 164 of the CrPC. Based on that statement,we will start the hunt for the accused,” a police officer said.

Police said since there were a lot of gaps in the woman’s statement,they were finding it difficult to probe the matter.

The woman,police said,got married only two months ago. Police said investigations have revealed that she and her husband were living separately.

The police have registered a case of gangrape at the Malviya Nagar police station based on the information provided by the PCR personnel.

Meanwhile,officials from the Embassy of Nepal visited the woman. Her family in Nepal has been informed about the incident and will reach the capital on Sunday.
