The Himachal Pradesh Police on Sunday decided to involve their colleagues from neighbouring states in the investigation into the murder of Jaswinder ‘Rocky’ Singh.
According to police, they will look comprehensively into the incident, including Rocky’s alleged criminal background, rivals and several crimes reported from across the states that may be connected to the incident.
Rocky was killed on Saturday on the Parwanoo-Shimla highway when five suspects opened fire at his vehicle in which he was travelling. Incidentally, his personal security was travelling in a second vehicle behind him but could not prevent the attack.

Police say it identified two suspects to be Jaipal and Tirth. They were named by Rocky’s driver Parampal alias Pala, currently admitted at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
“Both have gone underground but since Punjab police and other state police teams are also associated with us, we are hopeful about making significant ahead in the murder investigations,” Zahoor Haider Zaidi, IG (South) told The Indian Express.
