Chennai power disruption: Friday, November 15

Power will be suspended in parts of Chennai for maintenance work.

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) has announced that power will be suspended in parts of Chennai on Friday for carrying out day-long maintenance work in the city.

The city will face a power shutdown from 9 am to 5 pm, with supply expected to resume before 5 pm if the work is completed.

As per a press release given by the company, the following neighbourhoods in Chennai will be affected:

R A Puram: R A Puram – 1st to 7th Main Roads; R A Puram – 1st to 4th Cross Streets; R K Nagar – 1st, 2nd Streets; R K Nagar – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Cross Streets; Green Ways Road, Bishop Garden, Bishop Garden Extension, Bagyarathi Street, Vishwanathan Street, Kamarajar Salai, Chamiers Road, Cooperative Colony, Sri Ram Nagar – North, South, West; Boat Club House Road, Sathya Narayana Avenue, Crescent Avenue, ABM Avenue, St Marys Road, Padavettamman Street, Turn Bulls Road, Prithvi Avenue, Thiruvenkadam Street, Austin Nagar, Ganapathy Colony, Chamiers 1st Lane, Adyar Club Gate House, Bughs Road, R K Puram, Shunmugapuram, Venkat Raman Street, Kesavaperumal Puram – North, Central, East; Annai Sathya Nagar – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Streets; Annai Teresa Nagar, Govindha Samy Nagar, Kattapomman Street, Elango Street, Sringeri Mutt Road and Vanniampathy Street.

Mathur: MGR Nagar, Chinnamathur Salai, Padasalai, Anbazhagan Street, Nedunchezyan Salai, S P Koil and Manali.
