Expressing confidence that the BJP will win the Lok Sabha seat of Chandigarh, party leader Satya Pal Jain on Monday said the BJP will get a Mazdoor Bhawan constructed for labourers and poor workers once it returns to power in the city.
Jain along with senior party leaders Harmohan Dhawan was addressing a rally, organised by the Construction Workers Labour Union at Labour Chowk,Sector 44 C,to mark Vishwakarma Day. Jain said the common man was finding it difficult to feed his family in the current Congress rule while,he added, corrupt leaders like Bhai-Bhatija and Mama-Bhanja were grabbing crores and crores of rupees through illegal means.
Former Union Minister Harmohan Dhawan said the policies of the Congress were anti-people and anti-poor and all that it had done was to ensure sky-rocketing prices of essential commodities and cause poverty, hunger, and unemployment. He alleged that the present Congress government had looted the public exchequer and betrayed the common man, leaving Congress ministers and big industrialists richer and the poor man poorer.
Jain, along with BJP councillor Davesh Moudgil, also participated in the Vishwakarma Day celebrations at the Motor Market in Sector 48. Moudgil said Congress leaders, ministers and MPs have become highly arrogant, because of their wealth and power. He added that the Congress has the moral right to rule.
