In a life-altering windfall, Arindam Kar won the grand prize of Rs 1.5 crore in the Punjab State Dear 200 Monthly Lottery Scheme, as officially announced by the Directorate of Punjab State Lotteries.

The draw was conducted on February 6 at the Ludhiana camp office.

Hailing from Babupara in West Bengal’s Alipurduar district, Kar, who manages a sweet shop in the region, is already envisioning how this significant sum will shape his future plans. His immediate priorities include channeling the winnings towards his daughter’s education and expansion of his existing business.

Overflowing with joy following this stroke of luck, Kar expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Punjab lottery directorate. He shared that many of his friends in West Bengal are very enthusiastic about the array of tickets offered by Punjab State Lotteries.

A Punjab government officer said the organisation is renowned for its commitment to fair and unbiased draw procedures, a fact underscored by Kar.
