A team headed by councillor Mukesh Bassi has been formed to visit different sectors following the complaints received of low water pressure. Among the 20 houses that Bassi and officials visited in Sector 35 on Tuesday morning, residents of 16 to 17 said that their overhead tanks are being filled regularly.
They added that the water pressure got reduced later in the day. After one house owner said that water pressure in his house was low,the problem was found to be localised.
A drive to check water wastage was started on April 15. Within a month, around 115 challans have been issued which is substantially higher than the two challans that were issued last year. More than 1,500 notices have been served across different sectors.
