UT Administrator V P Singh Badnore on Wednesday visited the Sector 26 Institute of the Blind where the students welcomed him with a brass band.Badnore inspected the infrastructure and other facilities available at the institute. He checked the braille press unit, computer labs, class rooms, gymnasium and hostels.

Badnore and UT Adviser Parimal Rai pointed out that there should be ramp in the girls’ hostel instead of stairs.

At the gilrs’ hostel, girl students presented a song with a “BetiBachao-Beti Padao” theme. The highlight of the song was “no one should robhappiness from a daughter.
The girls are jewels of  this world”.

Earlier, it was a chilly wait for the students as Badnore, who was scheduled to arrive at 11 am, drove in at 12.40 pm.  The band members stood with their instruments as the winter breeze blew over them, visibly uncomfortable.  Staff members asked them to sit down and stand up repeatedly during the wait.
