UT Health dept to adopt mother and child tracking system

A state-level workshop on Mother & Child Tracking System was held at the UT Guest House,Sector 6,Chandigarh by National Rural Health Mission.

A state-level workshop on Mother & Child Tracking System was held at the UT Guest House,Sector 6,Chandigarh by National Rural Health Mission. The main aim of the workshop was to sensitise participants from various health facilities,hospitals and community health centres about the Mother & Child Tracking System. The workshop was held to increase the efforts for strengthening the services delivery with respect to Antenatal Care and Postnatal Care for pregnant mothers and also to ensure immunisation of children.

The workshop was inaugurated by Anil Kumar,Secretary Health,UT Administration. While focusing on mother and child health component in mother and child tracking system,the chief guest desired to track all mothers for their ANC and PNC services and tracking children for immunisation. He also stressed that implementation of the system has been recognised as a priority for providing effective health care services in Chandigarh.
