The UT Excise & Taxation Department launched the online facility of issuance of various statutory forms such as Form-C,F and H to file VAT returns at Confederation of Indian Industry,Sector 31,Chandigarh,on Tuesday. The facility was inaugurated by KK Sharma,Advisor to the Administrator,Chandigarh. Finance Secretary VK Singh and Brijendra Singh,Deputy Commissioner-cum-Excise & Taxation Commissioner,UT,briefed the audience about the facility.
Officials claim the new system will benefit entrepreneurs. Earlier,dealers had to personally collect the statutory forms,but now they can upload the requisite data from anywhere,and the department after processing the data will print the required forms and courier them to the dealers. Chandigarh is first in the region to launch such a dealer-friendly facility.
Members of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal,Chandigarh Business Counsel,Chamber of Chandigarh Industries and Industries Association of Chandigarh also attended the launch.
