UT advisor lays foundation stone for Sec 49 dispensary

UT Advisor K K Sharma laid the foundation stone for a civil dispensary in Sector 49 on Tuesday. Besides this, the UT administration has earmarked land for construction of three more dispensaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said the UT Administration was regularly empowering the municipal corporation by transferring various departments to it. He lauded the civic body for improving the existing facilities in the primary health sector. Sharma added that construction for the three proposed dispensaries would start soon.
Mayor H C Kalyan said the MC had planned to construct four dispensaries in sectors 48, 49, 50 and 52.

The dispensary in Sector 49 will be spread across 1.22 acre and have a laboratory, minor OT, sterilization room, dressing room and malaria lab among other facilities.
