Additional Sessions judge,Gurvinder Kaur,on Thursday rejected the bail appplication of two persons who have been accused of attacking a shopkeeper in broad daylight in Raipurani in May with a sickle, causing multiple injuries on his hand.
The court turned down the bail plea of two of the accused,Mahesh Agarwal, and Nikhil here on Thursday. The court rejected the anticipatory bail application of Mahesh, and also rejected the regular bail application of Nikhil who is currently in police custody.
There are accusations against Mahesh that in May this year,he gave some money to attack a shopkeeper in Raipurani,Nitin Dingra. He allegedly gave Rs 50,000 to a man,Vipul Chauhan, who had in turn given part of the money to two other accused,Nikhil and Abhimanyu, who attacked Nitin with a sickle at his shop, leading to multiple injuries on his hand.
Both Nikhil and Abhimanyu, who have been arrested by police, were booked under different sections of IPC including attempt to murder.
The cases were registered against the accused under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC,324 (assault),452 (trespassing),506 (threat to life) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy).
The counsel of Nitin Dingra, the complainant in the case,S K Rohilla,in his argument before the court opposed the bail application of Mahesh and Nikhil. He brought before the court that the complainant had already been injured and allowing the anticipatory bail to Mahesh will endanger his life.
The complainant had been earlier involved in a scuffle with Mahesh on some petty issue, due to which Mahesh wanted to exact revenge on him.
