Twin titles for Saroha,Gangwar

Millie Saroha and Harsh Gangwar swung the club to good effect and came up with impressive scores to claim twin titles each in the 46th Albatross Junior Golf Championship held at Chandigarh Golf Club on Friday.

Millie Saroha and Harsh Gangwar swung the club to good effect and came up with impressive scores to claim twin titles each in the 46th Albatross Junior Golf Championship held at Chandigarh Golf Club on Friday. In Category A,Millie returned with a score of 161 while Harsh had 148,to emerge as winners. Similarly,both these players also won the 15-19 boys and girls’ titles in the Hank Haney event.

The tournament was the Northern Zone pre-qualifier for the International Junior Golf Tour / Hank Haney Asian Junior Tour. A total of three other pre-qualifiers had already been held earlier this year at Bangalore,Mumbai and Kolkata.

The IJGT Hank Haney Tournament is conducted in two age categories for both boys and girls: 11-14 and 15 – 18. The winners of all pre-qualifiers will compete in the National qualifier to be held at DLF Golf & Country Club,Delhi,later this year,and the eventual winners will compete in the Asian Tournament of Champions to be held in Thailand in March next year.
