Traffic on Jan Marg to be restricted in view of SKM march today

Traffic movement on Chandigarh’s Jan Marg will be restricted on Wednesday from Kajheri Chowk (Sector 42/43–52/53) to Sector 42/43 Small Chowk, extending up to Attawa Chowk (Sector 35/36/42/43), according to an advisory issued by the police ahead of a farmers’ march organised to mark five years since the agitation against the now-repealed farm laws.
Chandigarh is bracing for a massive gathering of farmer groups entering the city from Punjab, Haryana, and nearby regions. Contingents from over 30 farmer organisations part of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) will make their way into the city, potentially affecting traffic flow throughout the Tricity.
