The three-member commission, probing the conceptualisation and allotment of mega projects in Chandigarh,is expected to be in the city and question a few present and former officials of the Chandigarh Administration, twice in the coming fortnight. The commission was appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, after the Chandigarh Administration failed to provide satisfactory replies to the special audit of the projects conducted by the Central government last year.
Former senior IAS officer D R Bhalla, who is the consultant of Arun Ramanathan, another former senior IAS officer, now heading the three member commission,is expected in the city from June 8 to 11. They will be here again on June 15 and stay till June 17.
