Three persons, including two women, were Thursday arrested at the Indo-Pak border for allegedly trying to smuggle four imported pistols and seven magazines into the country.
The three accused, Mohammad Ismail, Sarbari Begam and Sakina, all residents of Dangru village in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, are said to have gone to Pakistan on April 21 and returned to India today.

Three out of four pistols were of Turkish make, while the fourth one was Italian made, said the official, a press statement by the Capt. Sanjay Gahlot, IRS, Commissioner, Customs Preventive Commissionerate, Amritsar reads.
All three were being interrogated to find out more details, he said. Sources said passengers have said they were given those containers by some unknown persons in Lahore for delivery in Delhi.
