The UT Education Department Tuesday released the schedule for the third phase of counselling for class XI admissions in the city government schools.
The counselling, scheduled for August 13 to 25, will also cater to the candidates who have already taken admission but now wish to get their streams or schools changed.
The application forms are available free of cost at the government model senior secondary schools in sectors 20, 28, 40, 20 and 46 and in Manimajra. The form can also be downloaded from the official website of the education department, http://www.chdeducation.gov.in.
The last date to issue and submit the application form (form of change of school/stream) has been fixed for August 13 and 14 between 9 am and 1 pm, while the list indicating the allotment will be displayed on August 22 at 11 am. The deposition of fees in the school where a candidate is allotted a seat will be done on August 24 and 25 between 9 am and 11 am.
The list of vacant seats will be available on the department’s website on August 12 at 9 am and the candidate who will apply on the form titled ‘Form for change of School/Stream/Option’ can give a maximum of eight (minimum one) options in the order of preference.
After allotment of seats to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories, the vacant seats will cater to the candidates belonging to the general category. In case a candidate cannot get a seat in the school/stream of the first option, his/her name will be included in the waiting list. The number of candidates to be included in the waiting list will not exceed 10 per cent of the total sanctioned seats of a respective school/stream. This list will be valid up to August 31.
However, the list of vacant seats after the third round of counselling and subsequent vacancies (category-wise/ stream-wise) will be displayed by all schools on every Monday up to August 31 and the list of selected candidates from the waiting list will also be displayed on the same days at 12 pm. Each school will display information relating to their own school. The eligibility criteria, procedure for ‘preparation of merit’, allotment of seats and other details will remain the same.
