Tension at Fun Republic over ‘illegally raised’ wall

The management of the Fun Republic multiplex and one of its shopkeepers entered into a conflict on Friday after the hall owners allegedly erected a wall in front of the shop,Trenz.

The management of the Fun Republic multiplex and one of its shopkeepers entered into a conflict on Friday after the hall owners allegedly erected a wall in front of the shop,Trenz. The shop’s owner claimed the wall was constructed late on Thursday night. Though he said the matter was sub judice,the management said the court has already decided in their favour and that they have all the documents regarding the issue.

Fun Republic general manager Rupesh Kumar said they had an agreement with Raju for the space which expired a year ago. “We have not violated the norms and acted as per law,” he claimed. Shopowner Raju,however,said: “The management has already tried to vacate the shop unlawfully and we have approached court for the intervention. The matter is still pending with the court.”

Inspector Kehar Singh,Station House Officer,Manimajra,said they have asked both the parties to produce their documents after receiving a formal complaint from Raju.
