Mohali Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aashika Jain on Saturday said that district and sub-divisional administrative teams were put on alert with the onset of rains. The officials were asked to report to the district headquarter, she said.

The DC ADC (Urban Development) Damandeep Singh Mann was entrusted with the task of keeping a close eye on the preparations of Urban Local Bodies while ADC (G) Paramdeep Singh and DRO Gurjinder Singh Benipal were asked to keep a tab on water courses flowing through the district. The DC added that the railway underpasses in Derabassi that submerged in stormwater were given special attention with the stationing of one fire brigade each at Mubarakpur and Janitpur.
