SOPU announces fresh faces for polls

To address issues of girl students,Dr Monisha has been appointed as Women Wing incharge

The Student Organisation of Panjab University (SOPU) has announced three new names to represent the party in the campaigning for the forthcoming student council elections.

Akshit Poonia,from University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS),has been appointed vice-president (south campus),while Pankaj,a student from the same department is party incharge (south campus).

To address issues highlighted by girl students of the university,the organisation has announced Dr Monisha,from UIAMS,as the Women Wing incharge (south campus).

Arshnoor Dhillon,SOPU president said,“The party has always gained lead in the UIAMS department. With the induction of these students,the party’s position will become stronger. They will work together in UIAMS,UIET and BDS departments.”
