Come October 4,and the channel Big Magic will reveal child actor Rimmi Srivastav, who plays the role of a mischievous girl called Raavi. In Chandigarh to talk about the show, also titled Raavi,Srivastav addressed the media along with her on-screen mother,Amrita (Rashmi Singh). “Raavi is a witty and quirky story of a girl who grows up in a Punjabi household disguised as a boy,” says Singh. With an attempt at creating a novel story, with a child playing dual roles, the show promises to fill the void in children’s fictional programming. Srivastav adds how Singh is very protective about her in real life as well. “She entertains me,worries about my homework, and we can chat endlessly,” she says. “Our show is Punjab-based and it feels wonderful coming to Chandigarh — as if our set has come alive here,” adds Singh. The show has been produced by Taurus Production.
